Established in Co. Waterford in 1980, Dawn Meats is a family business that remains true to its farming heritage. With a continuous focus on quality and customer service, the company has grown to become the meat supplier of choice to a range of leading supermarkets, foodservice and manufacturing businesses.
Operating from over 30 locations in Europe and Asia, Dawn Meats’ customer base now spans 50 countries worldwide.
Dawn Meats is advancing and expanding into new markets all the time. The company works with some of the world’s leading food companies who are attracted by a commitment to sustainability and quality. With this in mind it was important to keep the quality and consistency of the brand in the forefront when developing the new website. CDG was challenged to redesign the Dawn Meats website, which was outdated, while delivering a new and fresh website with a positive user experience at the core of the website, keeping the customers at the forefront of the brand’s essence and values.
CDG studied the company’s history and services in order to understand Dawn Meats’ mission and values, delivering a bespoke and user centred website that meets the company’s overall goals. Our goal was to stay true to the brand’s work and make it easier for the user to explore Dawn Meats’ services.
Our solution was to redesign the sitemap, focusing on our user research to help user flow. With the idea of delivering a fresh new design, CDG started developing the wireframes and the first prototypes with the objective to enhance the user experience and rejuvenate the website’s image. We kept the previous content, but lifted the look, creating a modern, adaptable and responsive website. A website that is easy to explore was created, allowing the user to navigate through the website with enjoyment and find what they need.
